The Inquiry will investigate the steps taken to verify the fingerprints associated with the case of H.M Advocate v McKie in 1999, and related matters.
The Inquiry
This is a Public Judicial Inquiry set up by Scottish Ministers under the Inquiries Act 2005. It was announced by Kenny MacAskill MSP, the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, in the Scottish Parliament on 14 March 2008. The Rt Hon Sir Anthony Campbell, pictured, a retired Northern Ireland appeal court judge, is the Inquiry chairman.
