Where someone gives oral evidence to the Inquiry this will be in the transcripts section. The transcripts are a record of what is said during each day's hearing.
The witness section will gradually, over time, list all the Inquiry witnesses.
The Documents section is in two parts. One part has relevant pre-existing material which has been gathered in the course of the Inquiry's investigations. The other part has documents prepared for the Inquiry, such as witness statements, and specialist reports.
The first part contains pre-existing material which has been gathered in the course of the Inquiry's investigations. The intention is that documents in this section will be uploaded after they have been referred to in the course of the Inquiry’s proceedings.
So, for example, where a document has been referred to in a statement provided by a witness to the Inquiry, it will be uploaded after that witness’s evidence has been taken by the Inquiry.
Every document is identified by an Inquiry Unique Reference Number (URN). Each also has a description and document type which, so far as possible, reflect the way in which the document is described in the Inquiry Hearings Database that is being used by the Inquiry team and core participants.
This section can be searched: In the search enter the URN exactly as you see it in (say) a witness statement.
The columns can be sorted by a) URN or b) by category ie document type.
