This is a Public Judicial Inquiry set up by Scottish Ministers under the Inquiries Act 2005. It was announced by Kenny MacAskill MSP, the Cabinet Secretary for Justice, in the Scottish Parliament on 14 March 2008. Sir Anthony Campbell, pictured, formerly a judge of the Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland, is the Inquiry Chairman.
The Chairman published his Inquiry Report on 14 December 2011, and the Inquiry office closed on 16 March 2012.
